NTT–Timor Leste, June 29th 2025 — The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) continues to demonstrate its commitment in advancing the Tridharma of Higher Education by fostering cross-border collaborations. A working visit to East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and Timor Leste held on June 24th – 29th 2025, was part of the Cross Border Partnership (CBP) program initiated by SPs UGM as a model for international cooperation.

Muhammad Sulaiman, S.T., M.T., D.Eng., and Dr. Priyaji Agung Pambudi, S.Pd., M.Si., held a series of meetings with strategic partners in the border region, including the Indonesian Embassy in Oecusse, the Regional Government of Belu Regency, LPPM of Nusa Cendana University, Dili Institute of Technology, as well as alumni communities from KAGAMA Timor Leste and NTT.

These meetings focused on strengthening further education programs for civil servants (ASN) in border areas, strategies to enhance community capacity in food security and resource management issues, and the development of collaborative research in local culture and structural poverty alleviation.

The visit, beyond institutional networking, also served to explore opportunities for international research collaboration and to reinforce SPs UGM’s contribution to knowledge-based development in border regions.

SPs UGM, with a spirit of collaboration and a transdisciplinary academic approach, aspires to become a catalyst for inclusive and sustainable development in the Indonesia–Timor Leste border areas.
