Thursday, December 12th 2024, marked the closing of the Community Service Festival held at the Gelanggang Innovation and Creativity Center (GIK) at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). This event was designed to show the community service achievements of UGM’s academic community to the public, foster collaboration with various stakeholders, and enhance the quality of community service programs.

The UGM Graduate School actively participated in the event, presenting various community service projects conducted by its faculty members. For three days, the Graduate School team showcased numerous innovative works that have had tangible impacts on society. The exhibition also served as an interactive platform, where the enthusiasm of visitors created a lively and spirited atmosphere.

The Dean of the Graduate School, Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D., took the time to visit the Graduate School’s exhibit and expressed her appreciation and encouragement to the team. Her presence symbolized strong support for the contributions of the faculty in developing impactful innovations for the community.

As the highlight of the event, the festival concluded with a fashion show featuring participants from various UGM units dressed in traditional Indonesian attire. This parade of traditional clothing symbolized the diversity and cultural richness of Indonesia, which remains an integral part of UGM’s spirit in contributing to national development.

This event is expected to inspire continuous improvement in community service quality within UGM and expand collaboration networks with various stakeholders to support sustainable development.
