Yogyakarta, July 25th 2025 — The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) conducted a Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of its Research Grant Program over a three-day period, from July 22nd to 24th 2025. This activity is a crucial part of efforts to strengthen research governance and improve accountability in the use of research grant funds awarded to faculty members within the UGM Graduate School.
The monitoring process aimed to track the progress of ongoing research. It is ensuring principal investigators to follow the work plans according to their timelines, and maximize the effective and responsible use of research funding.
Beyond administrative evaluation, the Monev also featured constructive discussions of the reviewers and principal investigators. Reviewers identified obstacles faced by researchers and offered strategic input and implementable solutions to support smooth research execution and ensure the quality of research outcomes.
SPs UGM, through this Monev activity, hopes that all funded research projects can run optimally and provide real contributions to the advancement of multidisciplinary knowledge and solutions to strategic societal challenges.
