Yogyakarta, July 26th 2025 – In an effort to support and motivate prospective students to pursue higher education, the Population Doctoral Program at the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada successfully held a Sharing Session Webinar titled “Unlock Your Future: Motivation and Strategies to Secure an LPDP Doctoral Scholarship”, conducted online via Zoom Meeting.
The event featured inspirational speakers from the Population Doctoral Program, who are recipients of the prestigious LPDP (Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education) scholarship. Among them were Jamalludin (PK-223) and Hasrat Ifolala Zebua (PK-222), who shared their experiences and success strategies in navigating the highly competitive LPDP selection process.
The speakers discussed in detail the various stages of the selection process, including document preparation, essay writing strategies, and tips for the interview phase. In addition to technical guidance, the speakers also offered motivation and encouragement for achieving one’s dreams, particularly targeting prospective new students entering the Doctoral Program in Population Studies.
The discussion was highly interactive, as reflected in the active participation of attendees who asked a variety of questions. The webinar was attended by approximately 26 participants, including fresh graduates and professionals already planning to continue their studies and currently preparing to apply for the LPDP scholarship.
The webinar aimed to broaden participants’ understanding and provide a clear picture of the LPDP selection process. The speakers also emphasized that the LPDP is not just about obtaining a scholarship, but also about making meaningful contributions to the nation.
As Jamalludin noted, one of the reasons for pursuing a degree domestically is the potential to further support Indonesia’s academic achievements, such as through increased journal publications.
This webinar is part of a facilitation program for new students, featuring educational activities designed to enhance the capacity of Indonesia’s young generation.
