Yogyakarta, September 25th 2025 – The 42nd Anniversary of the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) was celebrated with a Badminton Tournament filled with enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and togetherness. The event became one of the most anticipated activities in this year’s anniversary series, serving as a platform to strengthen connections among members of the academic community.

The matches took place at GOR Pancasila UGM and were participated in by lecturers and administrative staff of SPs UGM. Interestingly, this year’s tournament adopted a half competition system, where all pairs competed against each other to determine the final rankings. This format made the matches more exciting and competitive, as every participant had an equal opportunity to showcase their best skills.

After a series of intense and strategic games, Mr. Widy and Mr. Agung emerged as the champions, maintaining consistent performance throughout the tournament. Their strong teamwork, solid techniques, and unwavering spirit stood out in every match.

SPs UGM, through this activity, continues to foster a culture of healthy living, sportsmanship, and collaboration within the workplace. Beyond recreation and physical fitness, the tournament also reinforced the sense of camaraderie and togetherness among the SPs UGM academic community.

This event also contributes to promoting physical and mental well-being through positive sporting activities and social interaction.
