On Friday (15/11), the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) organized a self-development program titled SPs Talk Show with the theme “Personal Grooming 101: How to Look Attractive and Professional.” The program was designed for all administrative staff of SPs UGM to enhance their awareness and understanding of the importance of professional and attractive appearances in delivering excellent service.

The event was opened by the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Dr. techn. Khabib Mustofa, S.Si., M.Kom. He emphasized that personal grooming is not only about dressing well but also includes communication ethics in the workplace in his opening remarks.

The program featured Dr. Rr. Paramitha Dyah Fitriasari, S.Ant., M.Hum.  as the keynote speaker, who provided a detailed explanation of personal grooming. She covered topics ranging from its definition, practical tips, to its positive impacts on individuals and institutions.

“Grooming is not just for women but also for men. Through personal grooming, we not only look fresher and more attractive but also feel more confident about ourselves,” Paramitha explained.

Furthermore, Paramitha highlighted that personal grooming benefits not only the individual but also the institution. “A neat and clean appearance creates a positive first impression for clients. This contributes to building a good image of SPs and enhances client trust,” she added.

The event ran smoothly and encouraged active discussions among participants. SPs hopes that through this self-development program, all attending staff will become more aware of the importance of personal grooming and apply it in their daily professional lives.
