The Community Service (PkM) activity titled “Maintaining the Harmonious Relationship of People and the Environment with Tree Planting at SD Negeri Sindangwangi II, Majalengka Regency” were conducted by Ratih Fitria Putri, Sri Rum Giyarsih, Kolose Charlos Dielpero, and Faishal Nazih in 2025. This PkM activity aligns with SDG 6, aims to ensure availability and sustainable management of clean water and sanitation for all. Harmonizing the relationship between people and the environment is essential in achieving the goals of sustainable development.

One of the strategies to maintain this harmony is tree planting, which is a key component of the green agenda. An environment rich with trees can absorb rainwater, ensuring clean water availability during the dry season. Such an environment will help stabilize the microclimate.

Given this background, the PkM activity is considered essential. It aimed to enhance the understanding and participation of students at SD Negeri Sindangwangi II in tree planting. The methods used include awareness campaigns, educational outreach, and interactive discussions with the students. This was followed by actual tree planting by the students within their school environment.

This PkM program is expected to be sustainable, considering the importance of continuously raising awareness about the need to harmonize human and environmental relationships through tree planting activities. Thus, the practical and empirical benefits of this PkM initiative are key to the sustainability of the proposed program.
