Yogyakarta, October 28th 2025 – The Master’s Program in Environmental Management (MPL) held the official inauguration of its Integrated Learning Studio to support students’ learning activities. This inauguration was particularly special as it was attended by guests from Chiba University, including Prof. Josaphat Tetuko Sri Sumantyo, Ph.D., Prof. Tomoaki Tanaka, M.D., Ph.D., and several associate professors. The event was also attended by the Dean of the Graduate School (SPs) and witnessed directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Geography.

This activity was a follow-up to the MPL program’s visit to the learning studios at Chiba University in February 2025. The visit served as a benchmarking activity that produced tangible and significant outcomes.

On this occasion, Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D., Dean of the Graduate School, delivered a warm welcome speech by presenting the profile of the Graduate School, particularly the educational programs that have been and can be established in collaboration with Chiba University. The Dean also officially inaugurated the MPL studio, which features an aesthetically designed display enhanced by AI-assisted visuals on monitors or TVs.

MPL students participated in and observed the inauguration process held in the MPL Studio, located on the 3rd floor of Building B, Faculty of Geography. It is hoped that the establishment of this studio will strengthen and enhance the quality of education through effective learning processes, combining theoretical materials with intensive practical activities.
