Yogyakarta, 22nd January 2025 — The Religion and Cross-Cultural Master Program (Agama dan Lintas Budaya/ALB) and the Inter-Religious Doctoral Program (IRS) have officially obtained FIBAA accreditation as a recognition of their commitment in maintaining and continuously enhancing academic quality in accordance with international standards.

The FIBAA accreditation certificates were presented by the Vice Rector for Education and Teaching of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Prof. Wening Udasmoro, during the Coordination Meeting of Vice Deans for Academic Affairs. This handover marked an important milestone in strengthening the quality assurance system and academic governance within Universitas Gadjah Mada.

On the same day, the FIBAA certificates were formally handed over by the Dean of the Graduate School (Sekolah Pascasarjana/SPs) of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D., to the ALB and IRS Study Programs during the Graduate School Working Meeting. This institutional-level handover reaffirmed the commitment of the SPs UGM leadership in supporting the enhancement of academic quality and the sustainable development of the programs.

The leadership of SPs UGM, on this occasion, expressed their appreciation to the study program management, lecturers, educational staff, and the entire academic community who actively contributed to the FIBAA accreditation process. This achievement is expected to serve as a driving force for the ALB and IRS Study Programs to further improve the quality of their curricula, learning processes, and academic outputs with excellence and impact.

The series of FIBAA certificate handovers conducted in two strategic forums at the university and Graduate School levels, demonstrated strong synergy among academic leaders in upholding the standards of higher education quality. This accreditation also serves as an important foundation for advancing the internationalization of study programs within SPs UGM.

The ALB and IRS Study Programs, with the attainment of FIBAA accreditation, are expected to excel in delivering high-quality, inclusive, and globally competitive education. It also strengthened Universitas Gadjah Mada’s role as a higher education institution committed to sustainable academic excellence.
