Yogyakarta (9/8), Gadjah Mada University (UGM) held a Training of Trainers: Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) activity for educational staff within UGM. The training was held in the Tahir Auditorium, FKKMK UGM Postgraduate Building.
Gadjah Mada University Postgraduate School (SPs) was represented by a public relations team together with Ika Krisnadewi, S.Psi., M.Sc as head of the SPs administrative office, following the training activities carefully. Prof. Dr. Wening Udasmoro, S.S., M.Hum., DEA, as UGM Deputy Chancellor for Education and Teaching was also present to provide an introduction before the event started.
“The problem is that SDGs activities at UGM have not been recorded because the activities are not written down and published in the news and writing is not an easy matter,” said Prof. Dr. Wening.
The event continued with presentation of material from Ir. Sentagi Sesotya Utami, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. which discusses news content that includes SDGs. In his presentation, Ir. Sentagi said that news content does not only talk about keywords regarding SDGs, but how to make news sentences more eye catching and easy for readers to understand.
The SDGs targets and goals at the university level also include the implementation of the higher education tridharma and the SDGs approach in all functions. One strategy that is currently being developed is writing news sourced from lecturer publications.
The final session was filled with material presentation by Dr. Mardhani Riasetiawan, SE Ak, M.T. which provides tips and tricks for writing news easily using UGM AI. Dr. Mardhani also conveyed the achievements of news writing in each faculty which had been presented through a matrix so that it was easier for each unit to carry out control and management regarding news releases regarding the SDGs.
