On January 16th 2025, the Partnership Unit of the Graduate School at Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) organized a workshop titled “Strengthening Institutional Capacity and Synchronizing SPs UGM Partnerships.” This event served as a forum for reflecting on the achievements of 2024 while preparing strategic plans for partnership development in 2025.

SPs UGM signed 80 partnerships, in 2024, including Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and Agreements of Implementation (AoIs). These collaborations covered various fields, including education, research, and community service, with local and international partners.

Dean of SPs UGM, Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed her appreciation for the collective efforts in building strategic partnerships. “These collaborations demonstrate SPs UGM’s commitment in becoming a world-class university that delivers a positive global impact. Through these partnerships, we aim to continuously support our students, faculty, and staff in enhancing their capacity and productivity,” said Prof. Siti.

SPs UGM is committed to providing optimal educational facilities for students with diverse collaborations, while creating opportunities for faculty and staff to enhance their skills through sustainable innovative research. Furthermore, partnerships with international institutions are expected to boost SPs UGM’s reputation as a leading educational institution and elevate Indonesia’s stature on the global stage.

The workshop also aimed to align partnership programs with the institution’s strategic plans for the upcoming year. “In 2025, we hope SPs UGM can expand its reach by collaborating with other prominent global partners and achieving the Performance Target of the Graduate School,” added Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D.
