SPs UGM Signs MoA with National Cheng Kung University Taiwan to Strengthen International Collaboration

Yogyakarta, 17th June 2025 — The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) continues to expand its international academic collaboration with the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan. The signing ceremony, held at the Auditorium of the Graduate School, marks a strategic step toward strengthening global networks and enhancing synergy between higher education institutions.

The MoA was signed by Dean of SPs UGM, Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D., and Prof. Chyan-Deng Jan from NCKU Taiwan, and Ir. Rini Dharmastiti, M.Sc., Ph.D., as Chief of the Master Program in Biomedical Engineering at SPs UGM. The agreement focuses on developing collaborative learning schemes for students of the Biomedical Engineering Master Program, academic and research staff exchanges, and regular visitation of guest lectures between the two institutions.

This partnership is expected to contribute significant improvement of education, research, and community service quality, broaden international exposure for academic communities, and enhance curriculum internationalization. This collaboration also provides a vital foundation to create a more inclusive, innovative, and globally competitive academic environment.

The signing of this MoA, reaffirming SPS UGM commitment in becoming an excellent graduate institution and an active player in global partnerships for a sustainable future of higher education.
