Yogyakarta, October 3rd and 6th – 8th 2025 – The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) conducted the Phase II Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of the 2025 Research Grant Program as part of its commitment in enhancing the quality of research,  carried out by lecturers and researchers within the SPs UGM community.

The activity, held both online and offline at the Graduate School, was attended by recipients of the 2025 internal research grants, research team members, and reviewers. The Phase II Monev aimed to assess research progress, ensure implementation consistency on the submitted proposals, and identify challenges encountered during the research process.

Prof. Nurdiana Gaus, S.S., PGDIP., Ph.D., Coordinator of the Research Unit, stated that Monev is an essential component of the research management cycle.
“Through this second phase of Monev, we hope to further improve the quality of research outputs, whether in the form of scientific publications, new knowledge, or tangible contributions to society,” she said.

During the sessions, researchers presented updates on their project progress, achievement of targets, and plans for completing the research outputs by the end of the grant period. Reviewers provided feedback on research methodology, indicator achievement, and dissemination strategies to ensure broader impact.

This Monev activity also served as a comprehensive evaluation platform to determine follow-up funding decisions and final reporting. Through this program, SPs UGM reaffirms its commitment to supporting innovative, high-integrity, and socially relevant research aligned with the goals of sustainable development.
