SPs UGM and University of Dundee Conducted Partnership Monitoring to Strengthen Academic and Research Programs

The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) held a meeting with representatives from the University of Dundee to monitor and evaluate the progress of their academic collaboration. This event, held on February 14th 2025, aimed to assess the achievements of ongoing programs and discuss future collaboration developments.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Kim Dale, Interim Vice Principal (International) of the University of Dundee, and Dr. Graham Christie, Academic Regional Lead for Southeast Asia, along with the leadership team of SPs UGM, including the Dean of SPs UGM, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation, as well as the Chiefs of the Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Bioethics, and Population Studies programs. Additionally, academic and administrative staff participated in this productive discussion.

Prof. Kim Dale, in her remarks, expressed appreciation for the progress made in the collaboration and emphasized the importance of enhancing academic capacity with global partnerships. She also highlighted opportunities for strengthening collaborative research and academic mobility between the two institutions.

Meanwhile, the Dean of SPs UGM, Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D., reaffirmed SPs UGM’s commitment to develop strategic international partnerships to enhance academic innovation and global research contributions. “Through this collaboration, we aim to continuously create an academic ecosystem that supports knowledge exchange and experience-sharing while providing opportunities for students and lecturers to engage in international-scale research projects,” she stated.

Both institutions hope to strengthen their partnership and establish more inclusive and sustainable programs with the results of this monitoring.
