Dr. Widyanto Dwi Nugroho, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Collaboration at UGM’s Graduate School, and Ahmad Ali Chaedori won first place in the table tennis competition held for the 41st Dies Natalis of UGM’s Graduate School in 2024.
Meanwhile, second place was won by Afid Nursaid and Joko Waluyo, third place by Teguh and Widiarsa, and fourth place by Harna Siswanto and Azis Nugroho.
The four winners received cash prizes: first place received one million five hundred thousand rupiahs, second place received one million rupiahs, third place received seven hundred fifty thousand rupiahs, and fourth place received five hundred thousand rupiahs.
The prizes were awarded during the scientific oration event of the SPs peak anniversary celebration on October 17th 2024, on the 5th floor of the Auditorium Building at UGM Graduate School.
The competition took place from October 11th to 17th 2024, next to the volleyball court at UGM Graduate School, using a knockout system.
The competition began with the round of 16, followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals, with an initial number of 26 participants consisting of lecturers and staff.
This activity is also in line with the implementation of SDG Goal 3 on Good Health and Well-being, and Goal 10 on Reduced Inequalities.
