Yogyakarta, September 3rd 2025 – The National Resilience Program at the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) participated in the Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activity for Master’s (S2) and Doctoral (S3) students receiving scholarships from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemhan). The event, organized by UGM’s Directorate of Student Affairs, took place in Meeting Room 1 of the Directorate of Student Affairs, UGM Central Building, and was attended by representatives from the Directorate General of Defense Potential (Ditjen Kuathan) of Kemhan RI.
This Monev followed up on a letter from Ditjen Kuathan Kemhan, number B/2586/KTH.00.01.03.20/DJKUAT dated August 22nd 2025. The primary purpose of the activity was monitoring the academic progress of study assignment participants (Patubel) while ensuring the continuity of their studies in accordance with scholarship requirements. The presence of the Kemhan team was an essential part of the evaluation process, providing students with direct guidance on study management, strategies for academic completion, and strengthening study discipline.
The event was attended by Colonel Inf Permadi Azhari (Chief of the Sub-Directorate for Education Development, Directorate of Human Resources, Ditjen Kuathan Kemhan), Ibnu Ubaidillah, S.E. (Chief of Non-Military Education, Directorate of Human Resources, Ditjen Kuathan Kemhan), Saeful Bahri Efendi, S.T., M.M., and Teguh Afrianto, A.Md. From SPs UGM, Prof. Dr. Armaidy Armawi, M.Si., Chief of the National Resilience Master’s and Doctoral Programs, and Dr. Samsul Asri, Expert Staff for Academic Data and Document Management, were also present. The discussion included interactive dialogue with students, academic supervisors, and program managers to gain a comprehensive picture of academic achievements and challenges encountered by students.
According to the reports presented, several students demonstrated positive progress. Among them, Windy Kartika P.W. (Doctoral Program in National Resilience, class of 2020) completed her graduation requirements in July 2025 and is scheduled to attend the commencement ceremony in October. Meanwhile, Aditya Hindra Nugroho (National Resilience Master Program’s student, class of 2023) is preparing for his thesis defense scheduled for September 8th 2025. Other students were reported to be at various stages, including thesis proposal revisions, research seminars, and early coursework.
This Monev served as academic accountability to strengthen coordination between UGM and Kemhan in producing highly qualified human resources in the field of national resilience. It is expected that all scholarship recipients will complete their studies with regular monitoring on time and make significant contributions to national development, particularly in strengthening the defense and security sectors.
