Yogyakarta (20/09) – The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM), particularly the Bioethics Master Program, held a Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) session for students enrolled with cooperation agreement with the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Bangka Belitung Islands. Murtadho, ST., and Varga Saputra, SSTP.

This Monev session discussed the academic progress of students from the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Government who are pursuing their studies in the Bioethics Master Program. According to the report presented, the student has shown satisfactory academic results, with the most recent Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.88. Currently, the student is in the process of writing their thesis proposal, receiving full support from lecturers and all related parties at UGM. The study process has been smooth, thanks to the strong support provided by the Bioethics Program and SPs UGM.

In addition to evaluating the student’s academic progress, the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Government was reminded to submit progress reports on the student’s studies. The discussion also covered plans to expand cooperation in the future, not only through sending students but also through training programs and other forms of collaboration.

Dr. Widyanto Dwi Nugroho, S.Hut., M.Agr., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation at SPs UGM, expressed his appreciation for the well-established cooperation and hoped for new opportunities to expand the partnership, also with other study programs at SPs UGM. “This cooperation is very valuable, and in the future, we hope to strengthen and expand this collaboration so that it has an increasingly positive impact on both parties,” he said.

Meanwhile, H. Saimi, S.H., M.Si., Chief of the Social Welfare Bureau of Pemprov Bangka Belitung, expressed his satisfaction with the progress of their student’s studies at SPs UGM. He hopes the cooperation, which has run well, can continue and become the foundation for broader collaborations in various other fields.

Through this Monev session, the Master’s Program in Bioethics at SPs UGM and Pemprov Bangka Belitung have successfully strengthened the existing cooperation. The positive evaluation of the student participating in this program shows that the support provided by both parties has led to good outcomes. In the future, it is expected more extensive and deeper collaboration will be established, whether in the form of capacity development, training, or cooperation with other study programs at SPs UGM.
