Yogyakarta (19/09) – The Master’s Program in Performing Arts and Visual Arts Studies at Universitas Gadjah Mada Graduate School (PSPSR SPs UGM) has successfully achieved ‘Unggul’ accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). This recognition is based on the Decree of the Executive Board Director of BAN-PT No. 5491/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/M/VIII/2024, which states that the Master’s Program in Performing Arts and Visual Arts Studies at UGM Graduate School has met the criteria for ‘Unggul’ accreditation, effective as of August 19, 2024.
This achievement is clear evidence of the high quality of education provided by the Graduate School and a strong commitment to improving academic standards and educational services. The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation, Dr. Widyanto Dwi Nugroho, S.Hut., M.Agr., expressed his gratitude and pride in this accomplishment. “This is the result of the hard work of the entire academic community, from faculty, staff, students, and even alumni. This achievement belongs to the entire UGM Graduate School family,” he said.
The Head of the Master’s Program in Performing Arts and Visual Arts Studies, Dr. Raden Rara Paramitha Dyah Fitriasari, S.Ant., M.Hum., also expressed that achieving ‘Unggul’ accreditation is an extraordinary accomplishment that demonstrates the dedication and hard work of the entire academic community of the PSPSR Master’s Program. She also reminded the academic community of the PSPSR Master’s Program not to become complacent with this achievement but to continue striving to maintain and enhance the quality of the program.
The attainment of ‘Unggul’ accreditation demonstrates that the PSPSR Master’s Program at UGM Graduate School meets the national higher education standards set by the government, positioning it as one of the leading programs in Indonesia. With this accreditation, the PSPSR Master’s Program is expected to continue improving the quality of education, research, and community service. Moreover, the PSPSR Master’s Program is committed to using this achievement as a momentum to continue growing.
Dr. Widyanto Dwi Nugroho, S.Hut., M.Agr., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation, added that with this ‘Unggul’ accreditation, the program will continue to strengthen collaborations with various parties at both national and international levels and will develop outstanding programs relevant to today’s needs. “May this achievement inspire all of us to keep giving our best for the advancement of knowledge and community service,” he added.
With this ‘Unggul’ accreditation, the PSPSR Master’s Program at UGM Graduate School is ready to move forward, offering high-quality, competitive education and producing graduates who are ready to compete at both national and global levels.
