rta, August 9th, 2024 – The Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) campus was once again enlivened by a cycling event attended by the staff of the UGM Graduate School (SPs). The event, titled “Lively Cycling on Campus,” was held in the morning.

Starting at 7:00 AM, participants gathered in front of the UGM Graduate School. Indri Sugiarti, S.Kom., M.Sc., the Coordinator of Human Resources at SPs UGM, who was responsible for overseeing this event, emphasized the importance of this activity in promoting a healthy lifestyle within the academic environment. “This cycling event is not just about exercise but also a tangible form of our support for healthy living and a greener environment,” she said.

The selected route covered green areas around the campus, beginning from Jalan Kaliurang, passing through Graha Saba Permana, the UGM Central Office, and finished at the UGM Graduate School courtyard. Along the way, participants enjoyed fresh air and scenic views of the lush campus. “I hope events like this can be held regularly, as they are very beneficial for our health and camaraderie,” said one of the staff members, Muthia Nur Arifah, S.E., administrative staff at the UGM Graduate School.

The Lively Cycling on Campus event is expected to serve as a momentum to promote a cycling culture among the UGM academic community and raise awareness of the importance of a healthy and eco-friendly lifestyle. The event concluded with a group photo, further strengthening the bond among participants.

With the success of this event, the campus plans to make cycling activities a regular monthly agenda, in line with SPs UGM’s commitment to creating a healthy and sustainable campus.
