Yogyakarta, July 17th, 2024 – In a series of English language training programs organized by the Human Resources Directorate of Universitas Gadjah Mada (HR UGM), the staff were given the opportunity to meet a native speaker. The native speaker from the United States is Amy Brueck. The event, held in the Iso Reksohadipodjo Building of the Department of Language, Arts, and Cultural Management, Vocational School of UGM. The aim is to improve the English skills of UGM’s educational staff through interactive and enjoyable learning methods.
The event, attended by educational staff from various faculties, schools, and directorates of UGM, was very lively. Amy Brueck, with her energetic and friendly teaching style, successfully created a fun learning atmosphere, making the participants more enthusiastic about learning English. “I am very happy to participate in this event. Amy’s teaching method is very interactive and makes me more confident in speaking English,” said one of the UGM staff.
This event not only aimed to improve English language skills but also to train the communication skills of the staff. The Graduate School (SPs) of UGM plans to continue participating in HR programs in similar activities in the future, hoping that these activities can further improve the quality of education among SPs UGM staff and prepare them to compete globally.
