
Yogyakarta – Higher Education Management Master Program (MMPT) of the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) continues to strengthen its commitment to encounter the challenges of global education disruption through the international accreditation process ACQUIN (Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute). It is part of the ten study programs involved in the preparation of the Joint Self-Assessment Report (SAR), MMPT SPs UGM seeks to align its academic standards with international criteria to ensure the quality of education adaptive to changing times.
The Advanced Coordination Meeting for SAR ACQUIN Alignment held on Thursday, February 27th 2025, MMPT SPs UGM together with other study programs from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fisipol) and the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) discussed the technical challenges and strategies in preparing the report. The main focus of the discussion included aligning perceptions in filling out the SAR, division of tasks between related parties, and strategies for optimizing academic content to meet global accreditation standards.
This meeting also discussed the challenges encountered in compiling the SAR, including difficulties in synchronizing meeting schedules amidst a busy academic agenda. With intensive coordination, MMPT SPs UGM together with other drafting teams are committed to completing the report on time and ensuring that all assessment indicators can be met properly.
In addition, the discussions related to the technicalities of compiling the SAR, MMPT emphasized the importance of optimizing academic information on the website as part of efforts to increase transparency and competitiveness. The existence of an informative digital platform will support the visibility of study programs in the international academic network and facilitate access for prospective students and academic partners from various countries.
The ACQUIN accreditation process is not just an effort to gain international recognition, but also an opportunity for MMPT SPs UGM to continue to develop and adapt to global dynamics. Success in obtaining this accreditation is expected to strengthen MMPT’s role in producing graduates who are ready to contribute to the world of higher education, both at the national and international levels.
