Yogyakarta (20/09) – In an effort to improve the quality of its Public Relations (PR) team, the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) actively participated in a workshop on “Campus Reputation Development” for PR managers in UGM. The workshop was held on Friday, September 20th 2024, at the Multimedia Room 1, UGM Central Building.

The workshop aimed to equip participants with the necessary skills to manage and enhance the university’s reputation through effective communication strategies. One of the main speakers, Farchan Noor Rachman, focused on crafting press releases during crises and guided participants through practical exercises based on predetermined case studies. His session provided important insights into managing public relations during challenging situations, ensuring transparency and professionalism.

Additionally, dr. Tirta Mandira Hudhi concluded the workshop by presenting a complex case study summarizing all the previous material. This session challenged the entire PR team to think critically and apply the concepts learned throughout the workshop to real-life scenarios.

The workshop is expected to provide valuable insights for the UGM PR team in improving communication strategies and strengthening the university’s reputation, both internally and externally.

The PR team of SPs UGM demonstrated its commitment to fostering transparency, improving communication skills, and enhancing crisis management strategies by participating in this workshop. All of which are essential in maintaining and boosting UGM’s reputation.
