The English training program organized by
the Human Resources Directorate (SDM) at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) is being attended by all educational staff (tendik) from various faculties, schools, and working units at UGM. This English training is divided into three classes: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. This time, the Graduate School is participating in the English training by assigning Arfikah Istari and Tri Atmoko to the Beginner class and Sri Pangesti Tuhu to the Intermediate class. The training takes place two days a week. The classes are for 22th Mei 2024 to 22th July 2024.The Graduate School (SPs) staff involvement in this training is to enhance their quality and communication skills in English, better preparing them for the education sector in the coming years and creating highly qualified employees.
The training program was well-executed, and SPs staff have benefited from it in terms of English proficiency, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. This English training is undoubtedly aimed at supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to education and capacity building. Improving English proficiency among staff will not only benefit them personally but also contribute to the development of the university.
