In order to encourage inclusive, innovative, and relevant educational transformation according to the needs of the times, the UGM Population Master Program conducted a cooperation exploration with government agencies in Riau Province. The activity was carried out on June 10th – 11th, 2025.
There were 4 agencies visited, including the Riau Provincial Central Statistics Agency, the Riau Province Community Empowerment, Village, Population and Civil Registration Service, the Kampar Regency Central Statistics Agency, and the Kampar Regency Disdukcapil. The targeted agencies of this collaboration are very relevant to population science.
The collaboration opportunities opened by the Population Master Program were welcomed by the local government. The collaboration refers to the Tridharma of Higher Education pillars as a guideline for both parties to establish intensive collaboration in producing qualified generations and resources, especially in the field of population science.
Prayudho Bagus Jatmiko, S.ST., M.Sc., Chief of General Affairs of BPS Riau Province said that BPS always supports its staff to continue their studies. This certainly opens up opportunities for BPS staff to continue improving their competence.
Dr. Raden Rara Wiwik Puji Mulyani, S,Si., M.Sc., Chief of the Population Master Program also said that this Program provides education by course and by research. The research path allows employees to carry out studies without leaving their work responsibilities.
This activity is expected to support increased efficiency and better resource development. It is also to achieve common strategic goals that are in line with sustainable development goals (Sustainable Development Goals).
