Yogyakarta, July 10th – The Master of Higher Education Management Program at the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (MMPT SPs UGM) hosted a visit from Jakarta State University. The visit is to share experiences in managing and developing the quality of education in the Higher Education Management Study Program.
The event was attended by the Coordinator of the Study Program and lecturers from the Higher Education Management Study Program of Jakarta State University, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation of SPs UGM Dr. Widyanto Dwi Nugroho, S.Hut., M.Agr., Vice Dean for Human Resources, Finance, and Assets Dr. tech. Khabib Mustofa, S.Si., M.Kom., as well as the Chief of the Master of Higher Education Management Program at UGM.
In his speech, Dr. tech. Khabib Mustofa, S.Si., M.Kom., emphasized the importance of inter-university collaboration in efforts to improve the quality of higher education in Indonesia. “We warmly welcome the visit from Jakarta State University. The exchange of knowledge and experience is crucial for optimizing the management and quality development in our study program,” he said.
The Coordinator of the Higher Education Management Study Program at Jakarta State University, Prof. Dr. Neti Karnati, M.Pd., also expressed appreciation for the welcome and the opportunity to discuss various strategies for improving the quality of education. “We hope this collaboration will bring significant benefits to both institutions in efforts to enhance the quality of higher education in Indonesia,” she stated.
The discussion resulted in various strategies to optimize the Higher Education Management Study Program in the long term, including curriculum improvement, teaching methods, and supporting facilities. Additionally, the importance of strengthening inter-university cooperation networks to enhance graduates’ competitiveness in the global job market was also discussed.
It is hoped from this visit that inter-university collaboration can be increased and will attract more students to join the Higher Education Management Study Program in Indonesia. This visit was expected to contribute in creating competent graduates who will be ready to compete internationally.
