On Thursday (May 15th), the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) held a Workshop on the Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This activity was part of a series of workshops previously conducted from April 10th – 16th. Unlike the previous sessions, this workshop focused on finalizing the concept for organizing a collaborative dialogue between units, aimed at presenting the procedures draft to relevant stakeholders. This initiative reflects SPs UGM’s commitment to the sustainable improvement of administrative service governance.

The SOP development program is one of SPs UGM’s strategic efforts to enhance the governance of administrative services in order to improve both the effectiveness and efficiency of institutional performance. This initiative serves, in response to the growing complexity of services in an increasingly advanced era,  as a means to address various issues and challenges encountered by each unit in their work processes.

The workshop was led by the Vice Dean for Academic, Student Affairs, and Collaboration, Prof. Dr. Widyanto Dwi Nugroho, S.Hut., M.Agr.Sc. On this occasion, he emphasized the need to finalize the timeline of implementation, identify the parties to be invited, and prepare the supporting materials for the upcoming inter-unit dialogue.

Dr. techn. Khabib Mustofa, S.Si., M.Kom., Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, also added the importance of having a unified matrix for each working group to ensure the upcoming inter-unit dialogue can be conducted effectively.

The outcome of the workshop was the strengthening of the event framework for the collaborative inter-unit dialogue scheduled for June 2025. The event will serve as a platform to present the developed SOPs and collect feedback from relevant parties. SPs UGM hopes this initiative will contribute positively to improving work quality and fostering a more collaborative and innovative work environment.
