Yogyakarta, June 23rd – 24th 2025 — The Leadership and Policy Innovation Master Program (MKIK), Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada, enthusiastically welcomed the inaugural visitation from the Independent Accreditation Agency for Education, Administration, and Communication (LAMSPAK) with full spirit and preparation.
This visit marked a significant moment in the accreditation process of the study program, as it was the first time LAMSPAK conducted an assessment at UGM. Two assessors from LAMSPAK, Prof. Dr. Yulianto and Dr. Ulber Silalahi, were present on-site to evaluate the academic quality and management of the MKIK Program.
From early in the morning, the MKIK academic and administrative teams established strong enthusiasm and coordination. Technical preparations and the compilation of supporting documents were carried out collaboratively, involving lecturers, education staff, as well as student and alumni representatives.
Dean of the UGM Graduate School, Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed her appreciation for the dedication shown by the MKIK team in preparing for this visit.
“This visitation is not merely an evaluation, but also a moment of reflection and learning for enhancing the quality of education moving forward,” she said.
Meanwhile, Head of the MKIK Program, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Maryudi, S.Hut., M.For., emphasized that the visitation served as a significant milestone in building an excellent and nationally standardized academic system at MKIK.
“We interpret this visitation as part of our ongoing commitment to innovate in developing public leadership and context-based policy in Indonesia,” he stated.
During the field assessment session, the assessors held direct discussions with the program management team, lecturers, students, and alumni users. The evaluation covered various aspects such as curriculum, governance, learning outcomes, and the program’s contribution in addressing current public policy challenges.
The atmosphere throughout the visit was warm and professional. The assessors also provided constructive feedback that was positively received by the MKIK team. This visit is expected to ignite motivation to continuously improve the quality of higher education in the field of leadership and policy innovation.
