The 13th International Graduate Student and Scholars’ Conference in Indonesia (IGSSCI) is set to take place on November 4th – 5th 2025. This biennial seminar is organized by the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM). The theme for the 13th IGSSCI is “Navigating The Future: Strengthening Resilience Through Global Collaboration Towards World Peace.” This theme was chosen in response to ongoing global issues and as a collective effort to face future challenges by reinforcing resilience through both local and global cooperation.
On Tuesday (April 22nd), the organizing committee of the 13th IGSSCI held a Sharing Session in the Auditorium Room on the 5th Floor of the Graduate School Building, UGM. The event was attended by representatives of both master and doctoral students from various study programs and concentrations within SPs UGM. The Sharing Session aimed to promote and encourage students to actively participate as presenters in the upcoming conference.
Through this session, students gained a comprehensive understanding of the main theme and subtopics of the 13th IGSSCI, the abstract submission process, and potential publication opportunities. Additionally, the committee opened an interactive Q&A session, allowing students to directly consult about their part’s readiness in the seminar.
Dr. Dody Wibowo, Chair of the 13th IGSSCI Committee, stated that this year’s IGSSCI will invite experts from various fields to lead panel discussions aligned with their areas of expertise. “I hope SPs UGM students will not hesitate to participate in this seminar, as it provides a valuable opportunity to meet, discuss, and build networks with international scholars,” said Dr. Dody.
The keynote speaker for the 13th IGSSCI is Professor Takenouchi Hirobumi from Japan, an academic and philosopher. Other confirmed speakers include Josaphat Tetuko (Chiba University), Tomoko Tamari (University of London), Bandana Saini (University of Sydney), Jonathan D.
