Biotechnology applies advanced molecular biology techniques that integrate science and engineering principles to produce biotechnological products and services. Since 2008, the Biotechnology Program has implemented a new curriculum which focuses on four areas in the biotechnology field: Health Biotechnology, Agricultural Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology, and Environmental Biotechnology. The program also offers concentration in Biomedical Engineering, which deals with the application of engineering technology to medical problems.
