Enhancing capacity in managing public relations in the digital era, the Public Relations Team of the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) participated in the PR (Public Relations) INTELLIGENCE 5.0 Workshop, organized by the Faculty of Engineering, UGM.

The workshop, themed “Transforming Professional Public Relations with Social Media, Information Technology, and Artificial Intelligence,” was held on Tuesday, September 29th at the SGLC Building Auditorium, 3rd Floor, Faculty of Engineering, UGM. The workshop was attended by public relations representatives from various faculties, schools, and units across UGM.

The workshop featured Dr. Hendri Pratama, a Communication Expert, Applied Linguist & AI-Enhanced Learning Practitioner, as the speaker. The session discussed the development of the public relations profession amid rapid technological transformation, particularly the use of social media, information technology, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support public relations activities.

The participation of the SPs UGM Public Relations Team in this workshop is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance professional competencies in managing institutional communication, publications, and information dissemination to the academic community and the wider public.

The utilization of technology and AI in public relations is increasingly important in supporting more effective, creative, and adaptive work processes. In addition, understanding developments in digital media is essential to ensure that institutional information is managed strategically and in accordance with public needs.

Through this workshop, the SPs UGM Public Relations Team is expected to gain new insights and perspectives that can be applied to communication and publication management at the Graduate School of UGM.
