Yogyakarta, September 7th 2026 — The Employee Family Association (FORSILA) of the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (SPs UGM) held its three monthly Islamic gatherings to strengthen brotherhood and organizational camaraderie. This warm spiritual event took place on Sunday, September 6th 2026, located at Warung Kopi Kadirojo, Purwomartani, Kalasan, Sleman. This edition was particularly special as Dr. Khabib Mustofa, M.Kom., Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources of SPs UGM, served as the host (shahibul bait). Starting promptly at 09.50 WIB, the event was enthusiastically attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, educational staff, and retirees of SPs UGM along with their families. The presence of numerous attendees filling the venue reflected a strong commitment to togetherness within the SPs UGM academic community.
The agenda was guided by the master of ceremonies and opened with a solemn recitation of the Holy Qur’an. The program continued with welcoming remarks delivered sequentially by the host Dr. Khabib Mustofa, M.Kom., the Chairman of FORSILA SPs UGM Susanto, S.T., M.Sc., and the Dean of SPs UGM Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D. Moving into the core session, Ustadz Ransi Al-Indragiri delivered an insightful sermon focusing on the exegesis (tafsir) of Surah Ali ‘Imran verses 190–191 regarding the characteristics of people of understanding (Ulul Albab). Following the lecture session which concluded at 11.15 WIB, the event proceeded with an exciting door prize distribution, a shared lunch, and a warm friendly gathering session among attendees. The entire monthly program was officially closed by the MC at 12.00 WIB.
These periodic gatherings showed FORSILA SPs UGM remains dedicated to nurturing religious traditions and strengthening the spiritual foundation of its employees. The exploration of Quranic values regarding critical thinking and reflection is expected to serve as a moral inspiration in daily academic duties. This initiative also serves as a highly effective informal communication platform to build positive synergies beyond daily office routines. Full support from faculty leadership demonstrated that balancing professional performance with spiritual development remains a top priority at SPs UGM. Moving forward, FORSILA SPs UGM is expected to consistently present meaningful collaborative programs for all members.
