The Graduate School continues to prioritize serious attention to vulnerable and special needs groups. This commitment aims to ensure that every citizen receives equal rights and responsibilities.

One such initiative is the “Visual Arts Training as a Medium for Character and Personality Development of Children with Disabilities in Panggungharjo Village,” organized by the Performing and Visual Arts Doctoral Program (PSPSR).
“This program is expected to be a starting point for children with Down syndrome to develop artistic skills, build self-confidence, stimulate creativity, and foster strong character,” stated Dr. Budi Irawanto, M.A., Chief of the PSPSR Doctoral Program.

Dr. Budi Irawanto, M.A., explained that the training is part of a series of Community Service activities under the 2024 PkM SPS grant scheme, which runs from March to November. It is hoped that this program will serve as the foundation for ongoing and sustainable initiatives, offering long-term benefits for children and the community of Panggungharjo in particular, and for Indonesian society more broadly.
