A total of twenty-five male and female staff members from the Graduate School (SPs) of UGM participated in the Friday Fun Bike event organized by SPs on Friday, February 28, 2025.

The activity started at 07:15, with the gathering point at the front yard of the SPs building, then proceeded to Pujale, followed by GIK, and returned to SPs again, covering a total distance of 3 kilometers.

The Friday morning exercise is regularly held at SPs as long as there are no other activities. The exercises also vary, such as morning aerobics, yoga, walking, and this time with fun biking.

Aris, one of the participants from the SPs equipment section, shared his impression of the activity: “It was an interesting experience; usually, we see the UGM campus by motorbike/car, which makes it hard to fully enjoy the view. With cycling, we can enjoy it more, and at the same time, we also sweat,” he said.

Catur Agus from the SPs academic section also shared, “It was very enjoyable to cycle around the UGM campus with friends, passing through several streets that were already busy with vehicles, students, and the general public. We learned many things, not only the fresh air but also met friends from other faculties who were exercising on Friday morning,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Ana Anggraini, M.Hum, the Chief of the Academic Division at SPs, shared, “Cycling around the UGM campus is another alternative form of exercise for refreshing, while also making us more ‘aware’ of the environment and the campus atmosphere,” she explained.
This activity is also in line with the implementation of SDGs number 3 on Good Health and Well-Being, and number 5 on Gender Equality.
