The Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM SPs) recently hosted a monitoring and evaluation (Monev) visit from Udayana University as part of efforts to strengthen and enhance synergy in academic collaboration on November 8th 2024. The visit was conducted by the Monev Team from the Faculty of Tourism and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Udayana University, in collaboration with UGM Tourism Master and Doctoral Programs and the Indonesian Consortium for Religious Studies (ICRS) at UGM SPs.

In his welcome remarks, the Vice Dean of Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Dr. techn. Khabib Mustofa, S.Si., M.Kom., expressed his appreciation for this visit, viewing it as a positive step toward reinforcing academic ties between the two universities. “We hope this visit will bring new insights and opportunities to enhance the quality and benefits of collaboration for the entire academic community,” he stated.

The Udayana University Monev Team, led by Putri Kusuma Sanjiwani, explained the primary objective of the visit was to evaluate achievements, address challenges, and identify future development opportunities. The Monev also focused on assessing progress towards shared academic and research goals, as well as on improving postgraduate education quality to meet international standards.

The interactive discussions focused on evaluating joint programs, sharing research knowledge, and developing strategic plans to strengthen academic collaboration and expand research networks. Participants also exchanged insights on cross-disciplinary study programs, curriculum quality improvement efforts, and academic capacity-building for faculty and students.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both universities agreed to expand the scope of their collaboration through various innovative programs, expected to positively impact the advancement of knowledge, education quality, and Tridharma synergies in both institutions.
