Gladhi Nalar: PSPSR Scientific Discussion with Parahyangan Catholic University and the Sambasunda Ethnic Community

Scientific discussions as a series of “Gladhi Nalar” activities of The Performing Arts and Fine Arts Master Program (PSPSR) Gadjah Mada University Postgraduate School which was held on November 1st 2024 in collaboration with the Parahyangan Catholic Bandung and the Sambasunda Ethnic Community. It was an important moment for students to increase their knowledge and knowledge in the field of art.

Presenting respected speakers, namely Prof. Dr. Bambang Sugiharto, this event aims to encourage collaboration and knowledge exchange between academic institutions and local communities, with a special focus on the rich cultural heritage of the Sambasunda ethnic community.

Involvement of Prof. Dr. Bambang Sugiharto, a prominent figure in the academic community, added significant value to this discussion. His expertise guides the conversation, ensuring that discussions remain focused and relevant to current trends in research and education. Students gain valuable knowledge and insight that they can apply in academic efforts to support research in the arts field that is updated with current phenomena.

This activity also aims to strengthen relations between the university and the local community. Collaborating with the Sambasunda ethnic community, this program highlights the importance of community involvement in education. This partnership enriches the academic environment and empowers local communities by recognizing and valuing cultural contributions.

This dual approach emphasizes the importance of integrating academic discourse with local cultural practices, creating larger holistic educational experience. This event is designed to be flexible, communicative and informative, adapting to the local context and encouraging active participation from students.
