Yogyakarta (27/09/2024) – Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) continues to affirm its commitment to maintain the health of its academic community through the Integrated Health Post (Posbindu) program. This program is routinely conducted as part of preventive efforts to detect non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as hypertension, diabetes, and obesity.
On Monday, 30th September 2024, Posbindu was once again held at the Balairung of UGM Central Building, involving various health cadres from the UGM academic community, including staff from the UGM Graduate School (SPs). The SPs staff who actively participated as health officers were Arfikah Istari, Diana, and Indri Astuti Widyawati, providing health services to participants during routine health checks.
They assisted various health examination procedures, including blood sugar level measurement and body mass index (BMI) checks. Their presence at this event demonstrates the active support of SPs UGM for UGM’s initiative to create a healthy, productive, and sustainable campus environment.
Posbindu received enthusiastic participation from the UGM academic community, who regularly undergo health checks at the event. This program not only aims to maintain individual health but also raises awareness of the importance of early detection as a preventive measure.
In her statement, one of the SPs UGM staff, Diana, expressed her pride in being part of the Posbindu team. “We are happy to be part of the Posbindu team. This activity is very important for maintaining health and as a preventive measure, especially for employees and lecturers who may have high levels of activity,” said Diana.
With the active participation of various work units at UGM, including SPs UGM, it is hoped that Posbindu will continue to run smoothly and provide benefits for the entire academic community. This program is also in line with UGM’s efforts to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.
