UGM Graduate School and the Infantry Weapons Center’s Cooperation Agreement Signing : Collaboration to Support Biomedical Engineering Development

In order to strengthen the Three Pillars of Higher Education, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Graduate School signed a cooperation agreement with the Infantry Weapons Center (Pussenif) on Wednesday, September 4th 2024. This cooperation aims to provide expert speakers in the field of biomedical engineering to support Pussenif’s 2024 Non-Material Research and Development Program, related to the core duties of the Infantry Weapons Center.

The signing ceremony took place at the UGM Graduate School, attended by Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D., Dean of the UGM Graduate School, accompanied by Dr. Widyanto Dwi Nugroho, S.Hut., M.Agr., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation, as well as Dr. Ir. Dina Ruslanjari, M.Si., Cooperation Coordinator, and Ir. Rini Dharmastiti, M.Sc., Ph.D., Head of the Master’s Program in Biomedical Engineering at UGM Graduate School. They warmly welcomed the Pussenif representatives, including Colonel Inf Ruddy Hermawan, S.H., S.I.P. (Director of Research and Development, Pussenif), Lt. Col. Inf Marzuki, S.ST (Head of the Systematic Operations Section, Pussenif), Second Lt. Inf M. Faisal, S.A.P. (Methodology Officer, Pussenif), and Sergeant Galih Bagus P., S.T. (Support Officer, Pussenif).

This collaboration consists of various activities, from providing human resources as speakers to conducting research preparation, experimental activities, and data analysis. The outcomes of this cooperation are expected to contribute significantly in improving the quality of research, manuscript preparation, and reporting that supports the core duties of infantry units.

Both parties hope that this cooperation can be expanded to other relevant fields, thus further enhancing and developing the education and research system in the future.
