This year, the program was carried out in collaboration with the Master’s Program in Biomedical Science (MIB) FK-KMK UGM, Puskesmas Sedayu II, and Kelurahan Argorejo, and was attended by approximately 40 participants.

In 2023, this activity was also organized at the same location. The theme was “Healthy and Fit Together with the Disabled.” The PKM team was welcomed by Mrs. Maria Tri Suhartini, chief of the Sedayu Pinilih Disabled Family Forum, Bantul Regency.

This PKM event as previous activities included physiotherapy, health checks, and medical consultations, along with dental examinations. The team, led by Dr. Dyah Listyarifarifah, included Dr. Rina Susilowati, Ph.D., a lecturer in BME from FKKMK, Drg. Dedy Kusuma, Ph.D., and Ir. Rini Dharmastiti, along with 22 other members from the 2022 and 2023 cohorts of the Master’s Program in Biomedical Engineering and the Master’s Program in Biomedical Science (MIB) FK-KMK UGM.

The PKM was focused on individuals with Cerebral Palsy and Physical Disabilities, providing them with physiotherapy, dental checks, and general health examinations. Additionally, people in the surrounding community were offered blood sugar, cholesterol, uric acid, and height checks.

Apart from the aforementioned examinations, participants were also given knowledge on proper tooth brushing techniques by Dr. Abizar Agung Wibawa, one of the BME students.

For patients unable to attend due to mobility issues of their caregivers, transportation facilities were provided by the PKM team. This activity is also aligned with SDGs Number 3 on Good Health and Well-being, Number 4 on Quality Education, Number 10 on Reduced Inequality, and Number 17 on Partnerships for the Goals.
