Academic activities for the new academic year for the odd semester 2024/2025 will begin on August 12th 2024. In response to this, the Gadjah Mada University Postgraduate School (SPs UGM) took the initiative to hold a Consolidating Refreshing OBA Simaster aimed at all master’s and doctoral study programs in SPs. The activity was held on August 7th 2024 in the SPs Building’s Auditorium 5th floor which was attended by all SPs leaders including the dean and deputy dean as well as the chief of the study program and quality assurance.
“The aim of this activity is to refresh the implementation of OBA Simaster as a design and portfolio for implementing academic activities in each program, determine study program management regarding establishment to support academic activities, as well as holding a sharing session explaining the RPKPS and portfolio settings in Simaster by Chief of the Disaster Management Master’s Study Program, Dr. Ir. Dina Ruslanjari, M.Si., said Prof. Ir. Siti Malkhamah, M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN.Eng., Dean of SPs UGM at the opening of the event.
Next, Dr. Widyanto Dwi Nugroho, S.Hut., M.Agr., Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Cooperation at SPs UGM also said that for postgraduate programs the use of OBA Simaster is not a necessity, however the programs that will carry out international accreditation must apply OBA Simaster in academic learning. Therefore SPs recommends that all programs implement OBA Simaster in an integrated manner starting from the odd semester of batch 2024/2025 considering that in the odd semester of batch 2025/2025 SPs will implement a new curriculum so that curriculum adjustments and implementation of academic activities can still run effectively.
Activities take place interactively. All chiefs of the programs and quality assurance try to process learning plans and portfolios through Simaster. Having a sharing session helps lecturers more easily discuss the steps for using OBA Simaster in detail. This activity was carried out as one of SPs’ steps to realize the goals of Sustainable Development Goals pillar 4 regarding quality education.
