Tami Aulia, a content creator and owner of the YouTube channel “Tami Aulia Live Acoustic” with 4.06 millions subscribers, and Instagram account “Tami Aulia Official” with 422 thousand followers, has successfully graduated from the Performing Arts and Fine Arts Studies Program at the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). She will be attending the graduation ceremony in the fourth period of the academic year 2023/2024 on July 24, 2024.
During an interview, Tami mentioned that singing has been a part of her daily life since childhood. Her parents always supported her performances at various events, even stating that she wouldn’t receive pocket money if she refused to perform. “Since childhood, I’ve been accustomed to singing because it’s a common practice in my family. My grandfather is a violinist and leads a Kroncong group in Lombok. Initially feeling compelled to perform, this upbringing has yielded positive results,” she said.
Tami started her YouTube channel in 2019, covering songs and singing her own compositions. To date, she has created 30 songs. In 2021, she was accepted as a Master’s student in the Performing Arts and Fine Arts Studies Program at UGM. Her thesis titled “Exploring the Creative Space of Cover Musicians on Social Media: A Case Study of the Production Process of the Cover Song ‘Aku Milikmu Malam Ini’ on Felix Irwan’s YouTube Channel” has contributed significantly to her channel management knowledge.
“The professors here are engaging, and the facilities are excellent,” she added. However, Tami hopes for future courses related to arts management to ensure that her existing and future works are well-preserved and displayed effectively. She also looks forward to collaborating for a better future with potential partners.
